It's a good concept: Business people would create an arena and exposition center for pro basketball, hockey and a host of activities, all with private money. The marketplace financing is the shining all-star among many intriguing ideas in the proposal unveiled by businessman and ex-Sonics captain Fred Brown.
Brown and promoter Dave Bean want to build a complex for sports, ongoing laser or IMAX shows and commercial and historical expositions.
