ECC Concept | Location | FAQ | B2. Inc. | Advisory Board
No other city or state boasts the amazing diversity and quality of economic and cultural lifestyle of Seattle, Washington.
The Emerald City Center (ECC) concept has been developed to celebrate and showcase the virtue of this incredible city and region.
ECC CONCEPT
The focus of the ECC is four pavilions of interactive display and information similar to Epcot. These four areas are designed to showcase Seattle and Washington state’s greatest economic engines. Aviation and Aerospace Technology, Natural Resources and Agriculture, and Retail.
Washington-based corporations like Boeing, Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, Nordstrom and Costco are prime candidates for corporate partnerships.
These pavilions form the boundaries of a complex that will also include:
- A multi-purpose entertainment center for professional and collegiate basketball and hockey.
- Performing arts and family-style entertainment performances.
- A native-culture facility showcasing the rich heritage of our Northwest Native American, Asian and Pacific Islander populations.
A variety of quality retail and food boutiques providing a special shopping and dining experience for visitors and residents alike. Connected to the ECC, a new neighborhood of period-designed residences that reflect the architectural design of early Seattle.
LOCATION
The ideal location of the new ECC is Pier 46, on Seattle’s waterfront. The site is currently being used as a container shipping port.
The following features make Pier 46 the perfect site for the ECC:
- Close proximity to Safeco Field and Qwest Field infrastructure assets.
- Great highway access from I-5 and feeder routes.
- Continual expansion of downtown Seattle’s southern perimeter, which will spawn increased private sector investment.
- Waterfront access to cruise ships and Washington State Ferries system.
- A much better public utilization of Pier 46 than current use.
- The ECC will be a spectacular, architecturally appropriate addition to Seattle’s waterfront.
Additional sites include the Seattle Center and three locations near Safeco and Qwest. The Emerald City Center will be an incredible addition to King County, the city of Seattle and the state of Washington. The design and flexibility of this complex provides infrastructure for numerous retail and community concepts. We look forward to your thoughts and ideas as the vision of the Emerald City Center moves forward.
